A weekend at natures lap A trip to Bethuadahari and Jugpur

And to this some will say pack your back pack go on a  long vacation  when a weekend is all that you have in your hand. Yes! We are in tune you thought right a weekend getaway in the natures' lap is the ultimate paradise u can crave for.
So pack up your mind and sail ahoy towards a perfect weekend getaway at Bethuadahari and Jugpur village at Nadia district.
Situated at aprox.130 km.s from Kolkata this is a nice little place quietly tucked in the natures lap with a forest and abundant natural beauty at its disposal.

so me and my other 4 friends started our quest to discover some place unique and quench our thirst with natures delight. It all started from sealdah station one fine Sunday morning we boarded the train for bethuadahari after a 4 hrs ride we were there.
Bethuadahari has a host of wildlife which includes reptiles, bird completed with various insects and beautiful butterflies all enjoyed best at their natural abode.
The forest itself will not make in the top 10 forest destinations of w. Bengal and this is what makes it unique. You will be able to view a lot of deers and stag staring to you with equal curiosity at a short distance void of any man made obstruction.
the walk through the forest
You  will also spot different kind of frogs ghariyal and wild flowers which further charms the setting.
Forest mainly comprised of   babul, elephant tree, siris ,gold mohar peeple, shal teak, forest badam , tamarind, yellow gold mohar, asoka neem seekakai trees.Peacock sanctuary is also a must see as it contains some fully grown adult male peacock showing off their prized proposition.
The other birds include golden phesant, budgeriar, painted stork, common myna , cuckoo make up a splendid array of breath taking natural beauty.

The next in line was a rather unexpected find out by the name of jugpur. Jugpur a small village comprising mainly of farming family and jute producing workers.
Jugpur should be the ideal retreat if you are looking for a remote unconnected natural scenic rustic setting.
village roads going besides lush green paddy fields on one side and forest on other side. What I liked the most was the blue calm monsoon sky setting up  a perfect background for the green fields consisting of piles of jute bundled together for drying and looking like a battalion in still determined punctuality                                                                                                            waiting for commanders order.

what more could you ask for a scenic village completely undiscovered jute processing banana fields warm localites’  and all so important cha`er dokan (Tea stall) providing with all the refreshment u need will welcome u with open arms.
While u enjoy the warm tea and hospitality u will be mesmerized  by all the settings around you. Enough for making u feel the essence of a rustic village and giving you a alternate world to fulfill your fantasy’s to your heart’s content.
